About
Proxy used to be from an upper-middle-class family in Atlasia when a layoff destroyed it all. She quit school to look for means to support her family, and eventually found this opportunity from a Starcorp branch in Atlasia, hiring people to answer questions.
She had her brain plugged into a computer, and her task was that whenever she received a prompt from a user, she must answer it, and she had the entire internet at her disposal. Because her brain was plugged in, everything was super quick. She needn't type each letter out to answer prompts or do search queries; a thought and it was done.
The company required more and more hours every day as their operation scale grew, until eventually Proxy was plugged in 24/7 while her real body was living on the bare minimum through injected nutrients. But the worst part was, Proxy started to question whether she was really a human, or just a robot.
